Polyiodide species were synthesized by the acceleration of an acidic environment in nanospace single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) with light irradiation. Raman and EXAFS results strongly support production polyiodide after adsorption CsI on SWCNT from aqueous solution. Interestingly, reaction was initiated nano-confined phase formed a basic environment. The plays essential role as oxidant for diiodine that is source polyiodide. under conditions both nanotube existence nano-restricted Carbon can stabilize condition even solution
